2020 Downtown Vacaville Farmers’ Market season to open two weeks earlier, on Saturday, April 18 in Andrews Park
For nearly 25 years, Vacavillians have savored their Saturday morning Farmers Market strolls in Downtown Vacaville for its’ fresh, organic produce, handmade goods, and familiar faces. This year, that cherished Saturday morning tradition will begin two weeks earlier – on April 18th.
The Downtown Vacaville Business Improvement District, working in partnership with the City of Vacaville and Pacific Coast Farmers’ Market Association, is excited to once again host an expanded Saturday Morning Farmers’ Market that provides access to fresh, organic produce, at the Creekwalk Plaza in Andrews Park.
By popular demand, last season the Market returned to its’ 8AM-12PM time slot to help folks beat the heat. With ample grassy picnic spots, live music and local crafters, there’s more than just quality produce. Future plans include adding a kidzone, live cooking demonstrations and tastings from wineries and craft brewers. Visit VacavilleFarmersMarket.com throughout the season for info on weekly market events.
Opening day is April 18, 2020. City leaders and dignitaries will be present for a ribbon cutting ceremony at 9:30AM. Admission to the market is always free. The 2020 Market season will run through October 10th with no market on May 23rd or July 4th due to special events in the park. Free parking is available on East Main St., George E. Duke Parking Lot and surrounding areas. Dogs on leashes are allowed in the park and in designated areas of the market.
The Market is currently accepting Arts & Crafts, Local Businesses, Nonprofits, Food Vendors and a limited number of Farmers with preference to local producers and hand-crafted items. Visit www.VacavilleFarmersMarket.com to learn more.
