Before the modern storefront we know today.
Pacific Hardware was already serving Vacaville back in the late 50s. Same place. Different time. Still taking care of this town.

Before the pavement, before the traffic,
This was downtown Vacaville.
The Vaca Valley Hotel once stood along Main Street, welcoming travelers in the town’s earliest days. The building is gone but the story is still here.

Right here on this corner sits what was once known as the Hutton Block, built in the early 1900s as part of Vacaville’s growing downtown.
It once held storefronts below and offices above, serving the heart of the community.
Over time, it’s been remodeled, but the original structure is still here.
Look closely and you’ll see the same brick, window spacing, and iconic triangular shape.
Different look, same foundation, standing strong for over a century.

Right here in Andrews Park once stood Vacaville’s original high school, built in 1898.
Students filled these grounds long before it became the park we know today.
By 1950, the school moved and this space transformed into a place for the whole community.
Now it’s where we gather for concerts, festivals, and everyday moments.
Same ground, just a different kind of history. 🤍
