The Downtown Vacaville Business Improvement District (BID) is following the Main Street America approach to downtown revitalization. Downtown Vacaville enriches our community by supporting the vibrant economic activity of over 450 businesses across various industries and hosting community-centric local events. We are dedicated to preserving our rich history while driving economic growth and revitalization to ensure a balanced focus on preservation-based development and modern enhancements.
Through our dedicated efforts, the Downtown Vacaville BID ensures a vibrant, resilient, and inclusive downtown that reflects both our storied past and our ambitious future

The application deadline for vendors, performers, and crowd entertainers is quickly approaching! Applications are due Sunday, October 25 for this year’s Merriment on Main Tree Lighting, happening Tuesday, December 1, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM in Downtown Vacaville.
Opportunities include:
• Selling food or merchandise at the Merry Market at Creekwalk Plaza
• Providing free food or giveaways in the downtown corridor
• Performing or entertaining crowds throughout the event
• Participating as a Downtown business
All applications must be completed online and include required documentation.

Did you know one of Vacaville`s most beautiful historic homes was built for just $5,000?
Standing proudly on Buck Avenue, the historic Buck Mansion dates back to 1892, the very same year Vacaville was incorporated!
Built by local master craftsman George Sharpe, this stunning Victorian home is a beautiful example of the Queen Anne architectural style, with its intricate woodwork and remarkable attention to detail.
The Buck family played an important role in Vacaville`s early agricultural history, particularly during the days when our community was known for its thriving fruit industry.
Over the years, the mansion has witnessed more than a century of changes. It was eventually divided into apartments before undergoing a major renovation in 2003, helping preserve an important piece of Vacaville`s past.
Today, the Buck Mansion remains one of the architectural treasures along historic Buck Avenue, a reminder of the families, craftsmanship, and history that helped shape our community.

Bring your ghouls, princesses and superheroes out to historic Downtown Vacaville on Halloween to kick off your evening of trick-or-treating!
This annual stroll has been a tradition for over 20 years!

Families can safely walk through the streets of Downtown visiting local merchants for trick-or-treating fun and games, music and more!
Main, Merchant and Parker streets will be closed to vehicle traffic so your little ones can stroll safely 👻
We will also have scarecrows on display from the @vaca_pef and live music from the @yac.music !
